Conflict Management Strategies for the Workplace
(and the rest of your life too!)

Meeting Overview

Conflict is a normal, inevitable part of human interactions, including those in the workplace. One key to resolving conflict is understanding, "why " it occurs in the first place. March's program will build on your understanding of conflict, including 5 conflict styles. Linda Shulman, March's speaker, will focus on communication skills and strategies for dealing with difficult people. She will also give tips on how to deal with difficult behaviors that occur during meetings.

March's speaker, Linda Shulman, is the owner and principal of Coaching and Dispute Resolution Consulting. She works with individuals and teams to implement open, healthy communication. Linda also mediates for the King County Dispute Resolution Center, the City of Bellevue Mediation Program, and is working as a mediator and Professional Coach in her own consulting practice.

Linda graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She has advanced training in workplace, business, family, parent/teen, community, cross-cultural, victim/offender, and public policy mediation, and non-violent communication. She received her professional coaching training at the Academy for Coach Training. She is certified by the Washington Mediation Association in the areas of labor/employment, family/domestic relations, business and community mediation. She is a member of the Washington Mediation Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution.
