The Association for Women in Computing/Puget Sound Chapter (AWC/PS) is
offering a $1000 scholarship to a woman enrolled in an Information
Technology program in a Puget Sound area college. In addition, a one year
membership in AWC/PS and one dinner meeting will be offered free of charge
to the scholarship recipient. The Association for Women in Computing will
select the scholarship recipient based on academic performance and
financial need. Please complete the application
form now and submit the other requirements listed below on or before May
31, 2001 to the Association for Women in Computing, Attn: Education
Outreach Chair, P.O. Box 179, Seattle, WA 98111. The scholarship will be
awarded at our June 19, 2002 meeting.

Eligibility
- Currently a full time student and re-enrolling for the summer or
fall 2000 quarters. A full time student is defined as taking 12 credits
or more per quarter as an undergraduate; or taking six or more credits
per quarter as a graduate student.
- Enrolled in a computer-related degree program.
- Presently completing or already completed 15 credits in the program.
- Current grade point average of 3.0 or above.
- Demonstrated financial need.

was a cofounder of the Puget
Sound Chapter of the Association for Women in Computing. This award is
offered in memory of her work to help women further their education in
computing.
