 Inkblot Painting & Stamping with Candy Cox Blann

Supply List

• …for Inkblot Painting:
• Fine-tipped fabric paint (Jones Tones works best)
• Other fabric "writer" type paints for comparison
• 8 or more squares (~5" x 5") of inexpensive solid or muted fabric (high contrast to paint colors)
• …for Stamping:
• Stamps:  all types (look at common objects), bring one with a simple design/shape
• Any interesting relatively flat plant leaf/flower
• Fabric paints, inks, pens, and crayons you already have
• Glitter sprinkles, stamping "colored powders" for a sandpainted or textured look
• Construction paper or several old manila folders
• Paper scissors
• Brayer (recommended)
• Small paint brushes
• Fabric to stamp on
• Small spray bottle (hairspray)
• …Miscellaneous supplies:
• Baby wipes to clean your stamps (and/or hands!)
• Cup for water for cleaning brushes
• Old toothbrush for cleaning stamps
• Waxed paper to layer between wet fabrics for transportation afterwards

Masking a Stamp For Overlap Effect Stamp a piece of clear contact paper Cut around the image Position the contact paper where you want the "top" image Stamp over it to create the "bottom" image Remove contact paper Stamp "bottom" image in the empty space	Inkblot Painting Paint one side of design Fold along center line Pat fabric to absorb paint Open & admire
