Autumn 2001 - Three-Stage Collar Round Robin

Project Schedule:
Dates are binding, but design suggestions are not!

September 18^th(3^rd Tuesday)

Owner provides collar cut from background fabric (example: cotton or batik)

Baste onto a foundation layer (example: flannel, thin batting)

Fill small box with items that coordinate for embellishment (examples: small pieces of coordinating fabric, ultra suede, prismatic foil, fibers, buttons, beads, sequins, rubber stamps, charms, metallics, thread, found objects, templates for 3-D objects like: leaves, geometric shapes, flowers)

First embellisher starts background design on collar (examples: vines, leaves, triangles, flat applique)

October 16^th (3^rd Tuesday)

Show and tell from 1^st month's work
Pass on to next person on the list
Second embellisher needs to work on top of background adding dimension & objects

November 20^th (3^rd Tuesday)

Show and tell from 2^nd month's work
Pass on to last person on the list
Third embellisher adds more dimension with beads, buttons, charms, etc.

Holiday Celebration & Return of Final Collars
Owner is to finish up collar by adding or making changes to collar piece as they wish. Then lining it, adding a closure, etc. Bring to January meeting for show and tell.
