Reports from Meetings in the Year 2000

At our January meeting, the subject was "Edgings". The two hours were crammed with many wonderfiil edging samples, ideas and how-to techniques.

In our sharing of show and tell projects, we learned so much from each other. At each meeting, Marti Charbonneau fits any muslin garments for our tuture projects.

Our February meeting was beading a small flat design in peyote stitch to applique on a garment or accessory. Syndee Lytle was our beading instructor.

At the March meeting, Priscilla Peterson, clothing designer, presented an informal fashion show of beautiful one-of-a-kind garments, jackets, coats, and vests.  Some of the techniques used in her contemporary garments are pieced quilting, patched pieces, and fabric collage.  Priscilla has her garments for sale at a number of local art galleries, Best of the Northwest, and numerous other shows.

In keeping with this year's "Accessory" theme, we studied collars and cuffs at our April meeting, including ideas and patterns for embellishing them.  Some examples were laces, crochets, tatting, beads, ribbons, and buttons.

We completed our yearly accessory theme with bags and purses.  Our next meeting will be in October.

Come join us and have fun.
