Richard & Anne Brown Residence

530 145th Ave SE

This simple pioneer farmhouse with an American four-square style was built in about 1912 by Richard and Anne Brown. The Browns established a 40-acre farm here in 1906.

During the 1950s, the farm property was subdivided and transformed into a suburban residential area. The existing pioneer farmhouse and assortment of sheds, a barn, a garage, and a pumphouse structure now seem out of keeping with their current surroundings.

These buildings illustrate the study unit themes of agriculture and architecture.
