Seattle Global Gutz

You want us to race when? For how long? OK then..... 30 or so of Seattle's finest and fastest showed for the 2nd annual global gutz at the ENA couriers satellite. There was Elysian pale ale barrel (before and after), tall bike jumpin' and bummy test rides, parking garage messenger polo (after), BOB trailer joy rides ( wheeeee!!! parking garage spirals) and general merrymaking and celebration.
Tim Mason took charge of checkpoint organization with a scavenger style race. Go to this address and collect the letter with the next stop printed underneath,
repeat and enjoy! Code word M A S O N. Fast, fast, fast waterfront course along Alaskan and Elliott Ave on back through town to the SODO neighborhood and back to the SAT. Thirteen (13, count 'em) miles imperial on the nose...
Chuck Scheid drew honors for the local promoting, keg procurement, racer registration and securing the start/finish location. Nice job Chuck! Partygoers and merrymakers were slightly thinned by the concurrent celebration of Jeremy Blake's bachelor party, and Trisha Antle's bachelorette...
Starla Teddergreen, despite her whinin' about how tired she was and how she had no chance "in the world" of winning, raced anyway for the love of her fans. Starla you are a star...

Starla recorded the fastest woman's time in the world in 2001.
Brad was second place in the world in 2001, men's category
.
Mason is already on his way to Budapest, so he just watched.

We ride here. Toughly.

Brad Lewis put in a screaming time closely followed by T2 and then the Fleetfoot kids...

No beer outside!

Ethan Dale and Dookie X had the results compiled and uploaded to the Gutz Commission a mere minutes after the finish thanks to Ethan's laptop complete with wireless internet access.

We have a winner!

...and Fleetfoot follows...

Chris trundles in,

Oh, it's your name, good one.

Nice shirt.

What took you so long?

Pick Seattle for CMWC 2003 and you won't have to contend against us...
