What does it take to defeat a corporate giant like Coca-Cola or Nike? What does it cost to take on the well-funded 'In-school marketing' industry? What does it take to make School Boards and Legislators listen?

It takes people who care--lots of them.

What does it cost?

Last year, it took us $4000 of pinching every penny (twice) to get corporations out of 100 Seattle schools. That's $40 per school, or 8-1/2 cents per kid.

We are so grassroots that we are drought-resistant! We did this without asking most of you for money, without asking for corporate donations or foundation grants.

Our grassroots campaign now has 1200 root systems throughout 70 communities in Washington. For this grass roots movement to spread even further, here's one way you can help:

  • $25 gets an information packet into the hands of 5 local or state policy-makers.

  • $50 gets our message out to hundreds at a community festival or statewide conference.

  • $100 gets training materials to our supporters outside King County.
