One way to reach various groups is through leafleting shopping centers,
religious groups, farmers markets, professional/labor organizations, etc. Depending on the
group you are attempting to reach, you may wish to make a simple front-back, one page
handout from the following sources. For example, one side can be an article from Section
1 (below), with the back an appropriate statement from Section 2.
For greatest impact, you
may wish to first contact the head of the group you are trying to reach (e.g., minister, local
union president) and solicit support, but be prepared to leaflet anyway in the absence of
"official" approval. Check with your local police for restrictions on leafleting activity. If
there are restrictions about passing out information, you may wish to "leaflet" by creating
T-shirts which contain essential information. Be creative.
