Ordinances were introduced at the city council meeting yesterday which call for the expenditure of funds raised from the sale of bonds approved at former elections so that the Cedar river dam may be rushed to completion at once. One bill authorizes the board of public works to draw from the municipal line extension fund, series H, to the amount of $50,000 for this purpose, and another authorizes the city engineer to begin the construction of penstocks and accessories from the dam to the power house, to take the place of pipe line No. 1. This will amount to $100,000, and will come from the Cedar river water supply extension fund.
