18-25 yr olds welcome. Open 7 nights a week. Show up 8:20-8:30 pm to get on the list. First come first served. Doors open 9:00 pm. Referrals, etc. available, but no strings attached. ID may be required (especially if you look near the high end of the age range). Every night at University Methodist Temple, 15th NE and NE 43rd

Drop-in center offering showers, laundry, food, clothing, referrals, case management, and other services to young adults up to 22 years old. Mon., Tues., Thurs. evenings 7:30-9:30pm, and Friday 1-4pm. Wednesday outing, every Wednesday except 2nd of month, 12 noon. Drop-in for folks 23-27 every Thursday 1-2pm. United Indians Children, Youth, and Family Services
GED prep & testing, outpatient chemical dependency treatment for adolescents, alternative school, employment services center,
juvenile court advocacy, personal counseling, cultural
activities. Services are targeted primarily (but not exclusively) to Native Americans.
University Family YMCA
Saturday drop-in (5:30-7:30 p.m.): Homeless youth 25 and under. Hot dinner, showers (towels & hygiene items provided), phone access. Sunday drop-in (1-3pm): Homeless youth 25 and under.
Special activities/workshops, computer and phone access, art supplies, games, snacks.

Formerly Children's Protective Services (CPS). Investigates reports of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Family
counseling services. This is a government agency with enforcement powers.
Peace for the Streets by Kids from the Streets (PSKS)
Advocacy for homeless youth rights, outreach services, some limited stipends, referrals.
Staffed mainly by homeless or formerly homeless youth.
Mon. 11-4 p.m., Fri. 1-6 p.m., or by appointment.

AHAC provides Holistic Medicine on 2nd and 4th
Monday of the month, 1-4 p.m. Sign up is on that day.

Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA)
After-school and summer program for children (ages 7 - 14) of refugees and immigrants includes homework tutoring,
cross-cultural activities such as folktales, oral histories, and skits.
Sanctuary Art Center
Non-profit art studio serving homeless youth and young adults ages 13-25. Programs in Visual Arts, Theater and Music. Open Tuesday & Thursday 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Friday 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
National Runaway Switchboard
24-hour hotline to link runaways to social service agencies or to
their families. Can also link families to social service agencies.
Confidential.
Can provide transportation for runaways back to families.
Forty Fifth Street Clinic
Free clinic for homeless youth (or youth in danger of becoming homeless). A screening for homelessness is required - first come, first serve basis. No
appointment needed during youth clinic hours. Medical, acupuncture, and dental services available to homeless youth only. Wednesday & Thursday
6pm - 9pm, ages 12-23.
Country Doctor Free Teen Clinic
Drop-in medical services. Serves homeless youth ages 12-23. No money, no insurance, no coupons necessary. No cost for medicine or lab work. STD, anonymous HIV testing, pregnancy tests, general physicals, and sick care. Licensed Naturopath, licensed Acupuncturist, and Licensed Massage Therapist available Tuesdays only.

Street Youth Legal Advocates of Washington (SYLAW)
For homeless and at-risk youth.
Legal education in civil and criminal law. Legal representation in
civil, but not criminal cases.
Children's Response Center
Serves children and youth in East and North King County who have been victims of sexual assault or other trauma, and their non-offending family members. Provides counseling, medical and legal advocacy, plus referrals for other services. Besides their dealing with cases of known sexual abuse/assault, you can contact them if you are concerned that your child may have been sexually abused/assaulted, and would like to discuss your concerns with someone. Also provide other related services, such as education about early identification and prevention of child abuse and sexual assault, support services for families after the death of a loved one, etc.
Seattle Education Access
"Higher education advocacy and opportunity to people struggling to overcome poverty and adversity." Free academic advising, career counseling, tutoring, and education planning for low income people who want to go to college. SEA focuses its outreach efforts on young adults (ages 18-30) who have experienced homelessness. Services include assistance filling out financial aid paperwork, research on available colleges and programs, assistance in the college application process, advocacy for youth who will need to complete a dependency status waiver in order to receive federal financial aid, peer mentoring for previously homeless college students.

YWCA of South King County Youth Options
Program for out-of-school youth 16-21. GED, internships, job placements, resources and referrals.
The Service Board
TSB serves high school-aged youth throughout King County, with program
sites in the Central District and White Center. Core programs meet twice
per week and run from January to June with weeknights offering mentoring,
life-skills training, and social justice curriculum and weekends alternating
between service projects and snowboarding adventures. Scholarships available.
YWCA - The Working Zone
Pre-employment internships for homeless youth ages 15 – 22: earn minimum wage while working with case managers to create plans and goals for future success and improved housing situations. Drop-in job center for employment resources and assistance for all eligible youth every Monday 10am-12pm and 2pm-5pm.
