Nordstrom launched the Supplier Diversity Program in 1989 because we as a company recognized that there were tremendous opportunities to do more business with minority and women-owned companies. Through this program, Nordstrom has forged new partnerships with businesses from the communities we serve; supporting the economic growth of those communities while giving us the chance to work with qualified minority and women-owned businesses.
Digital Divide Network The website offers a range of information, tools and resources that help practitioners stay on top of digital divide developments. It also serves as forum where practitioners can share their experiences with colleagues around the world. We look at the causes and effects of the divide from four distinct angles: technology access, literacy and learning, content, and economic development. In each of these areas, we pay particular attention to the role of local individuals and organizations when it comes to bridging the divide. In many cases, the stories featured on DDN come directly from the people working on the divide at the local level.    
Race and Ethnic Diversity in the United States 
The site contains texts of speeches by U.S. officials, key documents, and major court decisions. It also features articles about the more salient events in the story of race and diversity in America. Past injustices are frankly discussed in these pages, as are attempts to redress them -- such as the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

The Workplace Diversity Network is a learning community of diversity professionals who come from a variety of work sectors to explore emerging questions of workplace diversity and inclusion. We come together in small group forums for substantive dialogue, information sharing, research and scholarship.
Minorities in Marine Science Undergraduate Program  The National Science Foundation-funded Minorities in Marine Science Undergraduate Program (MIMSUP) is designed to introduce members of racial or ethnic groups currently under-represented in science and engineering (i.e., American Indians, Alaskan Natives, African Americans, Latino/Hispanics, and Pacific Islanders) to academic and professional careers in marine science.
Diversity in Europe Diversity in Europe is a project within the European Union‚s education programme Leonardo da Vinci with the purpose of spreading knowledge about the economic benefits and the benefits for the working environmental brought by diversity or Managing Diversity. The project started in January 2000 on the initiative of the Minerva Foundation in Sweden. The project will continue until summer 2001 and has participants from six different countries:
