Seattle Habitat for Humanity Names New Construction Supervisor

Seattle Habitat for Humanity, an organization known for building low-cost housing, is pleased to announce the appointment Tim Lawless, STP, as Construction Supervisor.

Tim has been in the construction industry for over 15 years and holds the designation of Certified Construction Supervisor through the Associated General Contractors Association of America. Prior to joining Habitat, Tim worked at Northwest Pump & Equipment and also owned a residential construction company in California.

When asked what lead him to Habitat for Humanity Jim explains, "I wanted to apply my construction experience to something I could feel good about. Habitat is one of the primary providers of low-cost housing and I knew I could help 'make things happen' in this role."

Founded in 1986, Seattle Habitat for Humanity is one of more than 1,000 affiliates of Habitat for Humanity, an international nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization that builds homes in partnership with low income families. Residents are required to contribute "sweat equity" toward building their homes, which are sold at no profit with no-interest mortgages repaid over 25 years. The house payments are recycled to build additional houses. Seattle Habitat for Humanity has completed 25 houses since its inception.
