Would you like to volunteer?
There are many ways to volunteer with Seattle Habitat, from working in the office,
to helping with special events, to serving on committees, to working on a
construction site. The easiest way to identify how you would like to get involved is
to attend one of the two Volunteer Orientations held each month. Led by Marilee
Gibbs and Kathryn Kurtz, orientations outline the mission of Seattle Habitat,
highlight past and current projects, identify ways to get involved, and cover Work
Crew Safety Information. Before working on-site, every volunteer needs to obtain
a Gold Card, which signifies that you have attended an orientation and are ready
to work on-site. Volunteers will receive Gold Cards at the end of an orientation
session.
| When? | Second Wednesday at 6 PM and the Last Thursday at 7 PM of
each month.
* Note: Thursday orientations for November and December have
been canceled because of holidays. |
| Where? | St. Patrick's Church, 2702 Broadway East (The north end of
Capitol Hill)
Parking is available behind the church. |
Most orientations are held in the basement, which can be accessed via the stairs at
the back of the church. Occasionally, orientations are held in houses next door to
the church. A sign will be posted on the staircase should the meeting location
change.
