AK Media Provides Billboards for
Habitat

The Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity affiliates (including Seattle Habitat
for Humanity) were selected by AK Media/ NW Community Partnership,
the company's largest corporate giving program, as one of ten nonprofit
organizations to receive $2.9 million in design time and advertising space.
Three billboards featuring Habitat for Humanity, will be rotated throughout
King and Pierce counties-and it's all free to Habitat. We were selected by
the employees of AK Media for this partnership, worth over $500,000
during the next two years. One of Seattle Habitat's new homeowners,
Karla Garrett, is featured on the billboard in
a photo taken by staff member Melissa Martin during the Building on Faith
Blitz. The first three locations for the billboards are: Renton on SE 176th
Street, Seattle (near South Park) on Hwy. 509, and in Tacoma on South
74th Street. |
