July 5, 1976 - Millard and Linda Fuller left Zaire,
where they had been building simple, decent housing with local families,
to return to Americus, Georgia and begin the program now known as
Habitat for Humanity International.

Clive Rainey was the first volunteer to join with the Fullers in Georgia
beginning in early 1977. He is still a regular volunteer in the international headquarters.
