VOLUNTEERING (1)

WANNA VOLUNTEER?

Come join us at one of our two regularly scheduled volunteer orientations on the second Wednesday of each month at 6pm and the last Thursday of each month at 7pm. We'll give you background information about Seattle Habitat and outline volunteer opportunities including construction, committee, office, and special event support. All volunteers must attend one volunteer orientation prior to volunteering. Evening orientations are held in the basement Fellowship Hall of St. Patrick's Church located at 2702 Broadway E. (On the north end of Capitol Hill where 10th Ave. E. intersects Roanoke). Volunteers do not need to RSVP for evening orientation sessions.

To expand opportunities for volunteers to attend an orientation, we have added three midweek, midday orientations this summer. Spaces are limited, so please RSVP if you plan on attending one of these three orientations. Summer midweek midday orientations will be held on Wednesday, July 7, Thursday, Aug. 5 and Wednesday, Sept. 1. Midday orientations run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and are held at the Habitat office, located at 306 Westlake Ave. N., Suite 210 (three blocks north of Denny Way in the Trick & Murray office supply building).

For more details on location and our top ten volunteer needs, please be sure to visit our website:

THANKS TO CONSTRUCTION VOLUNTEERS!

Thanks to all of the volunteers contributing skills and time to building dreams at South Park, Lexington Place, Shoreline, the warehouse, and the project with Second Use on Bainbridge Island. Over the past few months, your efforts have enabled us to complete homes at South Park and Lexington Place, continue work in Shoreline, organize and inventory donated items, and salvage reusable building materials. Thank you.
