Women in Film / Seattle Tees Off
To Benefit
SEATTLE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Women in Film/Seattle hosted their first annual golf tournament on Friday, August 20 at the Maplewood Golf Course in Renton. Guests enjoyed a day of fun, sun, food, and fundraising at the aptly named "Construction Production" tournament. The proceeds will benefit WiF/S programs and Seattle Habitat for Humanity. Honorary Chair Leslie Miller of Q13 Fox and her co-anchor, Scott Engler, were on hand for golf and the dinner/silent auction that followed, hosted by Maplewood Greens. Seattle Habitat Board Vice President Rita Lindle played in the tournament and spoke at the dinner on behalf of Habitat, fielding questions from the audience. In addition to the funds raised at the event, Women in Film/Seattle is hosting a WIF Workday where members will volunteer at one of the house sites. WiF/S is thrilled with the success of this first tournament and plans are already being made to expand next year's tournament to attract sixty players.
