High Points from the National Convention 2001:

1. NAVY CORPSMAN are now regular members of the Marine Corps League.

Paymasters send in your transmittals to National Adju/Paymaster Meg
Thoburn to change their status on the rolls.  Line one put in all of
the past information on your Corpsman.  Line two put in all current 
information and indicate for REGULAR MBRSHIP.  Our Corpsman will 
then be issued a regular membership number and have all of the rights
of a regular member of the Marine Corps Leauge.

2. Honorary Past National Commandant was awarded to Marine Benny C.
Dotson

3. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP is now authorized for our significant others.

4. The proposal for the National entitey of the MCL to participate in
the placement of a Memorial Plaque at the Tahoma National Cemetery
was turned down as they felt that if they donated to one entitey for
the placement of a Memorial in a National Cemetery that would set a
precedence to do this for all and would not be cost effective or
realistic for National.
