MARINE CORPS LEAGUE NORTHWEST DIVISION Including: Department of Alaska, Department of Idaho, Department of Montana, Department of Oregon, and Department of Washington FMF Corpsman may once again be admitted as regular members of the Marine Corps League. Administrative details still need to be worked out but they should be in place before we get the formal printed changes to the Bylaws/Administrative Procedures. This has been a long time bone of contention within the League and the Marine Corps. Finally put to rest by a resounding majority. The provision of the bylaws pertaining to membership eligibility of those eligible to be members of the Auxiliary was deleted. That will probably result in future changes being submitted that will reinstate that provision. It is believed that the deletion could cause serious problems for the growth of the auxiliary. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens in the future. A GREAT BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NORTHWEST DIVISION PAST "EVERYTHING" AS HE WAS APPOINTED AS HONORARY PAST NATIONAL COMMANDANT. This is certainly a well deserved honor and one that Marine Benny Dotson has earned through more than 20 years of outstanding service to our Corps, our League and to veterans of all branches.
