Jennifer Moore called the meeting to order at 11:01am.

Officers for 2010

Kathleen Steele will serve as the president of Green River Combine Club.

2009 Awards and Installation Luncheon

Invitations have been sent to officers, committee chairs, and past Chapter presidents. Cindy Barnes Pharr will be the guest speaker and will perform the installations. The names of Club/Council guests that will be attending are needed as soon as possible. Contact Linda Copeland.

Aprons

The aprons were mailed out to the Clubs/Councils who requested them.

Chapter Awards

Glenda Chambers reported the 2009 Chapter Awards Committee consists of herself (chairperson), Corinne Mugaas, and Lois Beedle. The committee received many nominations. Each category had nominations.

Marian Wilcox reported that Chapter 30 will have two National Awards submitted. One is for the Special Kids Rodeo in Vancouver, and the other is for supporting local food banks and will be shared with two other Chapters.

Round Table

Cascadian LMC

The club has recently returned from the summer break to work on projects.  The first executive committee meeting is August 25th and first luncheon is September 9th. Since summer break, accomplishments are not yet significant but, will soon pick up.  For further information, Contact John Martin

Cowlitz CC

Worked at the Tam ‘O Shanter Park Highland Festival. Next meeting September 15th. Delivered donated clothes to Wallace School. Delivered donated school supplies to Red Canoe. Planning a Life Member Holiday Luncheon. Jo Grendon (partner of Thomas Grendon) passed away. Collecting the usual stuff including cardboard (price is rising). Supporting Hospice, the museum, and local food banks. Contact Corinne Mugaas for information.

Green River CC

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. Western Electric Pig Roast & Picnic is scheduled for Sept. 12th at Royal Arch Park in Maple Valley. Collected school supplies and cash for Treehouse. Contact Jerry Olson for information.

Puget Sound LMC

Sent in 17,674 Overseas Coupons in August for a total of 1,767 volunteer hours. Collecting the usual stuff. Luncheon on 9/9 at Angelo’s Restaurant.. Will be collecting school supplies at the luncheon. Contact Ruth Kalies for information.

Seattle Council

Scheduled a work morning at Northwest Harvest in Kent on October 17th from 9am to Noon. Next Bell Plaza Blood drive scheduled for September 10th. Collected 200 backpacks and 3 large boxes of school supplies for Treehouse. Collecting soup labels, pop tabs, coupons, cell phones, stamps. Contact Mark Luster for information.
