September 14, 2004 meeting minutes respectfully submitted by Susie Blanchard

Charitable Contributions:  $100.00 to the Hurricane Francis/Ivan victims  
The Communication Fund for special communication devices as follows: $649.53 to Camp Prime Time and $213.01 to Seattle Council
to  reimburse for their donation to The Hearing, Speech, and Deafness Center.
 
Participation Report

 Sandy Cramer reported 5424 hours for this month for a total of 70,585  participation hours for the year.  

Membership Report
 Pat Leedy reported 1047 regular members, 6194 Life Members for a total of 7241 members

Old Business

Don’t forget the environmental Ocean Shores Clean-up Sept. 18th .

Invitations for The Awards  Dinner will be sent out the week of September 20th.

Disaster Contact Persons are needed.  There will be Red Cross training for  King County and Spokane.  They need at least 100 people
for the training to be held Sept. 22nd at Bell Plaza 31st floor from noon till 1PM.  If interested let Kathleen know by the end of this
week.  The training will include disaster relief and recovery.

Operation Homefront is still ongoing please keep collecting with a September 30th deadline for October shipping.  


New Business

Voting delegates for Assembly in January are:  George Blanchard, Ron Smith, Ruth Kalies and Kathleen Steele.

Little Golden Books to replace A Book About Me 

October 23rd is Make A Difference Day.  We would like to see as many different projects as possible.

Chapter Award nominations (not to be confused with the Foundation awards) need to be submitted to George Blanchard or Ron Smith 
by Sept. 30th.  The categories are as follows:  Spark Plug, Pioneer of the year, Partner of the year, and Swede Olsen.

Foundation awards: nominations need to be submitted to Kathleen Steele no later than October 5th.  These include Individual / Pioneer 
excellence award, Project excellence and Community impact award. 

Seattle Christmas Oraments are now available.  This year they are of the Olympic Hotel and the price has increased to $16.00, however 
we suggest that we still charge $21.00,  Please contact Ruth Kalies with your orders.

MSC to amend the Constitution reflecting the  changes as voted on by the Association to allow Pioneer Partners to hold office as long 
as they pay dues.  

Due to the October trainng there will not be a meeting in October .  The next meeting will be November 9th.

Deposit of $100 if booked by August 22, 2004. Otherwise deposit is $450. Cruisers will also receive coupon books good for shipboard discounts if booked by August 22, 2004!

The ship is filling quickly, so get your friends together now. Everyone will receive $50 onboard credit.
