Hello Pioneers

November 1, 2009

Here we are into our busy months of the year where we find many projects available for all. We have clubs that are giving baskets to needy families for the holidays. Come and get involved we need you and you will be delighted that you did, once you try. You will find just how good you can make your own Thanksgiving feel.

There is an established yearly scholarship program given to a high school senior who is related to a Pioneers member. Scholarships are given to students who are involved in community service, school and leadership activities, and academic achievement. This one-time award of $1,000 is payable to an accredited post-secondary institution, skill / training center, or trade school. These funds are provided to assist students with tuition, required registration, or other fees. Last year one winner was from our state. Filing starts Nov. 13th and ends the 28th of the month. Visit TelecomPioneers after the 13th to download an application. Then click on "Pioneers Scholarship Program."

Last month we held our 85th annual awards banquet and if you have not yet checked it out please be sure to do so as our webmaster has some wonderful pictures there. Think about joining us next year.
