THE BRAINSTORM SESSION

by Phil Bartle, PhD

Introduction to the Module (Hub)

Documents Included in this Brainstorm Module

Structured group decision making

The brainstorm session is a special kind of training process. Unlike many kinds of orthodox training, its purpose is not to transfer information or skills; it is aimed at the group of participants making group decisions.

It is part of a wider process of capacity building, leading to organizing for (1) decision making and for (2) action. (Of course, both facilitator and participants will learn things as a result of the session).

In this module, the brainstorm documents are separated into different web pages.

In Key Words, see "Brainstorming."

See also Brainstorming on Aidworkers' Net. For a different approach, see theSeafield Research & Development Services' Brainstorm
