The Seattle Black College Fair is a wonderful opportunity for Puget Sound area students to learn more about Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Fair activities also include information on pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate programs, application procedures and educational workshops on Financial Aid, Test-Taking Strategies, Campus Life, and opportunities to discuss academic programs.

Presented by the East Cherry Branch YWCA, in partnership with Seattle Central Community College, and the Seattle Black College Fair Committee. The Black College Fair in Seattle is a major community outreach effort held annually in October. Each year a different school is featured. Co-founded by Patricia L. Butler and Sadikifu Akina-James in 1984, more than 2,000 students, parents, and educators attend.
