FreePort 
Many Free-Net systems use the FreePort software, which is available from
Case Western University, Cleveland, for $850 for NPTN affiliates. There
is fairly general agreement that this software - as it exists - is inadequate.
Many community networks use FreePort software that has been modified with
code developed by the National Capital Free-Net organization in Ottawa.
