Dark Skies Northwest (founded in 1999) is the Northwest Section of the International Dark-Sky Association. Our mission is to be a focal point for light pollution issues in the NW, promote quality outdoor lighting, promote and preserve the beautiful night sky, and to educate the public about the problem of light pollution and its solutions. Our members include astronomers, naturalist, outdoor lighting engineers and people who are generally concerned with the beauty their community.
To be a member we simply ask that you join the IDA and live in one of the four states of
Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington
