Recruiters
Looking for a job can be a pain. Recruiters can open a lot of doors and get your
resume on the desk of a lot of people who might not otherwise see it.
What follows is a list of people and organizations with a reputation for being
helpful. Comments are the opinions of individuals, not the "Disavowed" collective. We endorse no one,
with the possible exception of Jose Cuervo.

individual comment: "My
God! Jerry Leighton (jal@hallkinion.com, 888-270-6008 ext. 215) found me a job in ONE DAY!!! With a ten thousand dollar raise, no less. I think he even
impressed himself on that one. Jerry was incredible--he was such an advocate. He worked with me through the whole
process: he got me in the door, he told me the things I needed to know, he helped me focus on being a strong contender
for the job. This guy's got it..."

individual comment: "I worked with Paula Roffe (ed. note: Paula's
no longer at Demetrio). She really, obviously cared a lot about me. She
helped me focus on what my needs were, and what my strong points are. She was energetic and inquisitive, and got
me to consider opportunities I'd have never thought of on my own."

knows the angles in this industry (high-tech), he knows the players, and he matches people to places that'll work
for them. He knows who's hot, where to look, and who to talk to. He's good." (ed.

individual comment: "I worked with Lynne Durrell. She really knows this job market. She knows who's good to work for and what the industry
trend-of-the-moment is right now. She knows the personalities of the corporate cultures. She puts people where
they need to be."
- Metro Information Services

Bellevue, WA 98005
phone: (425) 451-2404
fax: (425) 451-2169

individual comment: "My first contact with Metro Information Services was with a recruiter named Kendall Heggenes (KHeggenes@MetroIS.com). She was so friendly and helpful--she let me
reschedule a couple of times when I got called into meetings at the last minute, stayed in touch on the phone,
and always left me feeling like I wasn't alone in this job search. Her enthusiasm is contagious. I even got a call
from Metro's east coast office, where she'd shared my resume. The recruiter and the agency shine when it comes
to process and follow-through. It was a great experience."

recuriter's comments: We provide mostly windows based solutions. We are always looking for C++ developers, web
developers, database programmers, and project managers to service various elements of the software life cycle.
Most of our positions are Windows-based contract jobs in Redmond (Microsoft), Seattle, and the surrounding areas.
We are not a big company by any means, but we pride ourselves on being honest, efficient, and rapport oriented.
There are plenty of agencies out there, but we are distinguishing ourself more and more each day from the "body
shops".
