An internet discussion list for people teaching frugality and related concepts

Dear Friends: You are invited to join a new internet discussion list called "frugal-ed." This discussion list was designed by Cooperative Extension Educators who are searching for methods and curricula to teach and motivate their program participants on the subject of voluntary simplicity. This list is open to the public and unlike several other existing lists that are set up to discuss voluntary simplicity, frugality, sustainable lifestyles, and other related issues, this list will concentrate on how community educators can shape and focus those messages into programs for the education of the public. This list will not focus solely on voluntary simplicity since many people in our society are living simply but not *voluntarily* so - how then do we help enrich their lives while encouraging simplicity as a value to retain and further aspire to?

Participants are encouraged to join other discussion groups on related topics and surf the Simple Living Web sites to share relevant topics on this list. Interested parties could include people working in the fields of: Cooperative Extension Education, Public Health, Waste Management, Consumer Education, Horticulture, and other related fields.
To subscribe to frugal-ed, send an email to: listproc@listproc.wsu.edu
In the body of the email message, type: subscribe frugal-ed your_real_name
. Your_real_name is your actual name.

Frugally yours, County Extension Faculty Steven Garrett, MS, RD WSU Cooperative Extension E-mail: sgarrett@wsu.edu
