Michael (Michi) became a member in October 2005. He has added to the very accomplished musical talent of Chris Barnes by playing his "Kaiserbariton". Michi also plays the Alphorn and likes to bring it to the different performances with Enzian Schuhplattler. Besides playing his baritone and the Alphorn for the Enzian Schuhplattler, and occasionally his spoons, he also plays principal trombone with the Eastside Symphony in Redmond, WA.
Michi is a native German from the Allgäu (which is part of the Lechgau). Michi has played music all his life. Michi's musical career started in a Boys Marching and Concert Band at age 7 (Tänzelfest Knabenkapelle, Kaufbeuren) and later on expanded into several well-known orchestras in Germany.
He shows great determination in learning the dances and performs with us not only as a musician but also as a dancer.
