Continuing Education

Engineering offers constant challenges with new information and increasing technology. The PSEEC encourages engineers to keep up with these changes and remain current through continuing education. Although the state of Washington does not yet have specific requirements for continuing education that would enable engineers to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs), the PSEEC suggests you consider the ideas below:

Attend lectures and seminars. To learn more about current PSEEC and related activities, including continuing education opportunities, check our current PSEEC information.

Teaching others is a wonderful way to learn yourself. If you are an engineer already established in your career, and you are exploring continuing education opportunities, consider volunteering in a K-12 classroom (see the K-12 Department), or mentoring for a less experienced engineer (see the Mentoring Program ).

If you are an engineer in the Puget Sound area who would like to become involved in a professional organization, check out the list of PSEC Member Societies for possibilities! Just go to our PSEC web site (currently under construction) at http://www.scn.org/psec/.
