2012 Chapbook Award Remember to get those manuscripts prepared and sent in. We're accepting submissions for the 2012 Chapbook Award until March 1. Check the guidelines and send us your manuscript.

Electronic Submissions We are taking electronic submissions this year, but only by email. Please send your manuscript, as a Word or PDF file, to floatingbridgepress@yahoo.com. Be sure that your name does not appear anywhere in or on the manuscript. Use this link to pay the
Entry Fee. Note that the total will come out to the entry fee. The deadline for submissions is now March 1, 2012.

Call for FBR5 Submissions Floating Bridge Press seeks poetry submissions for our upcoming publication Floating Bridge Review #5 on the theme of "Do Tell" — works that touch on gay life (including lesbian, bi, trans, two-spirit, questioning, and any other non-straight orientations). We are seeking work that is inspired, surprising, humorous, intriguing, and/or just plain excellent writing. There are no restrictions on form or subject matter. Prose poems and flash fiction will also be considered. Poets of all persuasions are welcome and encouraged to submit.

Note: You do not need to be a resident of Washington State to submit.

Entries are by e-mail only: Send up to 5 poems as a single Microsoft Word document or single PDF file by February 15, 2012 to floatingbridgepress@yahoo.com. Please put FBR5 SUBMISSION in the Subject line of your email.

Where's Pontoon? Just a reminder that Pontoon hasn't gone away. It's joined by a spectial section to make each issue of Floating Bridge Review.

When you're submitting for the Chapbook Award, you're submitting for Pontoon as well, just like always. (We suspect that folks were so eager to dive into Floating Bridge Review that they didn't notice that Pontoon was right there on the cover.)

Donations Please consider making a donation to the press. In the current economic climate, grant funds are harder to obtain, and even our most stalwart funders have less to give. We are feeling the squeeze. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Floating Bridge Press so that we can continue our work publishing Washington State poets.
