with Heidi M. Hawkins, MAc, LAc Tuesday, November 17 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Two Dog Yoga in Seattle $30 for workshop (aid available). Advance registration requested. Tao Fawu medical qi gong was created to treat modern problems. The "plague tradition" within traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has kept this approach to health relevant for thousands of years: philosophers are required to extrapolate the TCM theory to treat new problems, or plagues. Heidi M. Hawkins, MAc, LAc, has studied TCM since 1991 from the point of view of applied philosophy, and co-created Tao Fawu style qi gong. Because Heidi is the only living master of Tao Fawu, she usually focuses on teaching other teachers and healers. However, this workshop is designed as a rare opportunity to hear an overview of the philosophy and try Tao Fawu yourself. Appropriate for all physical abilities and challenges; experience with qi gong, TCM or Taoism recommended but not required. Co-sponsored by Two Dog Yoga and the Kulshan College of Intuitive Medicine. Registration on line at the Two Dog Yoga web site, or by mail.
