The Fremont Solstice Parade leads off with clowns doing schtick, bouncing beach balls, and striped "skywriter" banners waving overhead. The crowd has been waiting patiently; now the drums boom forth and a squadron of buffoons stumbles around the corner toting the distinctive Solstice banners: Another great parade is here--the funnest day in the entire year in Seattle. Summer's here at last-- Hooray!
