Maque DaVis' is yet another quirky character whose many talents and boundless energy help the Fremont Solstice Parade to rock on, year after year, without getting stale. He was President of the Fremont Arts Council for many years and is enjoying a very active retirement.

Maque's special interests include fire artistry, float and puppet making, parade coordination, life as theater, art cars, and general schtick. One of Maque's special interests has been growing the Trolloween event, which has enabled him to indulge his impulse for entropy through such pure Dada events as Bowling for Televisions. Maque is a lot of fun. He is seen here as one of the King's Men at the Oregon Country Fair in a photo taken by fellow mischief-maker Barbara Luecke. Maque, in his many guises, is often seen in the company of his partner, Norma Baum in her persona as the buffoon Itchy Butt or any of her many other disguises.
