The Escola de Samba Seattle is a hard act to follow: an entire drum orchestra; beautiful, scantily-clad samba dancers in spectacular feathered headdresses, shakin' it in the street til the energy reaches dizzy levels; and a gorgeous float with gold fringe and filigreed platforms at either end so the women can strut their stuff. It's a sensational start to the Fremont Solstice Parade.
