The Fremont Solstice Parade is a grass-roots event which taps the creativity of hundreds of folks in the community. For weeks before the parade, the saws are screeching and sewing machines humming all around the Powerhouse and the pavement in front of the building where we construct the floats. Our photo shows Geordie Wilson and Pilar Olivo putting the finishing touches to their fantasy on the eve of Solstice Day in '95.
