Access to SCN

Modem dial-up numbers to SCN:

(206) 386-4199

Once you connect press the "Enter" key once, then at the logon prompt type "visitor" or your SCN user-ID.

The dial-up lines use a text-based terminal emulation interface.

 

Telnet

From your web browser:

telnet://scn.org

At the logon prompt type "visitor" or your SCN user-ID.

 

SSH

SCN also supports SSH for secure, encrypted communications. SSH is very similar to telnet. SSH is preferred over telnet since telnet sends your password unencrypted over the public network. When connecting to scn.org, use SSH1 with 3DES encryption. Refer to OpenSSH.org for more information and SSH software.
