When you connect to Timberland through its dialup modem lines, Seattle Community Network is one of the choices on the menu.

  • At the "login:" prompt, type "dialcat" (no password required).
  • From the main menu, pick Connect to Internet Sites.
  • From the next menu, pick Connect to Lynx WWW Browser.
  • When Lynx starts, pick Northwest Sites. (Press the TAB or down-arrow key to highlight Northwest Sites, and then press the Enter key).
  • From the next menu, pick Washington State.
  • From the next menu, pick Seattle Community Network.
  • On the SCN home page, pick the "Login (telnet)" link near the top of the page.
  • At the SCN "login:" prompt, type "visitor" or your SCN user ID.
