Changing Lives
Through groundbreaking reports and studies, testimony before Congress, national grassroots campaigns, powerful public education programs, and coalition work with other organizations, OWL is demonstrating that midlife and older women's needs are the needs of a caring, just society.

By speaking out and acting on their own behalf, OWL members are making important and lasting improvements in midlife and older women's lives.

Randy Revelle, former King County Executive

Randy has a distinguished career as an association executive, a leader of health-care reform, an elected official and a citizen volunteer. Randy is a knowledgeable and outspoken advocate on behalf of people living with a mental illness. Since 1981, he has told his personal story of recovery from mental illness to hundreds of thousands of people in Washington State and in 2006, he told his compelling story to four national audiences. Randy will speak on his manic episode just prior to his election as well as discuss his role as Chair of the Coalition for Insurance Parity. His efforts led to a successful passage of a Parity bill that ensures mental health coverage on par with medical insurance coverage.
