Seattle/King County Chapter of OWL hosts monthly educational programs in combination with our business meetings on the first Saturday of every month (except for July and August) to help raise awareness about timely women’s issues.

Recent programs on issues of concern at both the national and local level have focused on social security, Medicare, prescription drug coverage, and caregiving. Speakers from various local community programs have also presented on the topics of domestic violence, volunteer opportunities for the elderly, health care consumer advocacy, and legal issues pertaining to estate and end of life planning. During the Washington State legislative session, we feature speakers who report on bills and policies pertaining to the health and welfare of midlife and older women.
An annual picnic gathering for members is hosted in the summer and a holiday program featuring musical entertainment is held in December. Program suggestions are always welcome from our members in an effort to provide speakers on topics of interest and concern.
