Meeting Overview:

Does your money work as hard as you do? Many of us contribute to a 401(k) or other retirement plan, but are we investing the right amount? When is the right time to take a financial risk? Would you like to know how to make the most of your assets? Join us for an informative evening with two investment professionals. Wendy Kizzier and Carla Wigen, JD, CPA of Northwestern Trust will address the following topics:

  • Saving enough money for early retirement - how much, how soon?
  • How to maximize your investments
  • Estate planning - it's not just for the very wealthy!
  • Understanding and leveraging stock options
  • As Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at Northwestern Trust, Wendy Kizzier is responsible for the marketing of trust, custodial, and investment management services to not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining Northwestern Trust, Wendy worked for Fiserv, an information technology management and data processing company catering to the financial industry. As an Account Executive, Wendy's responsibilities included managing overall client satisfaction and cross-selling products and services to clients in the Western Region of the US. Wendy has over 10 years of experience in trusts and investments.

    As Vice President and Senior Trust Officer at Northwestern Trust, Carla Wigen is responsible for managing personal trust relationships and for serving clients' estate and tax planning needs. Carla has 11 years of experience in the legal and accounting professions. Most recently, Carla worked as an attorney specializing in estate planning, corporate, partnership, and limited liability company taxation, business planning and real estate law at a large Northwestern firm. Her previous experience includes serving as Auditor of the Defense Contract Audit Agency at the Department of Defense and working with the United States Department of State in Cairo, Egypt.
