Next Meeting: LINUX: Getting Connected
Meeting Overview: Join us in kicking off the 1999-2000 year with a special presentation on the operating system that is taking the Information Technology industry by storm! Our guest speaker is David Smead, Webmaster at AmplePower in Seattle. Mr. Smead has more than thirty years of experience in engineering and programming, as well as being co-founder of AmplePower, which provides power systems for boats, RV's and remote sites. He is responsible for using microcomputer hardware and software to effectively manage battery life. AmplePower has been using Linux as their primary operating system for several years and has yet to experience a crash. Mr. Smead will be covering the following topics:

Monthly Meetings Puget Sound Chapter meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month except
for the months of July, August and December, in which no meeting is held.
The location of the meeting rotates between Seattle, Bellevue, and South Seattle
(Southcenter area).
