Next Meeting: Software Smarts: Metrics for Quality Assurance Meeting Overview: What is the key component of a successful software project or system? Good planning is important, as are proper scope, requirements and an adequate budget. But quality, a sometimes-intangible trait, can be - and often is - the difference between happy customers and irate ones. How do you ensure quality in your project? It must be budgeted for, planned and executed throughout the software lifecycle. To learn more about delivering quality, join us for an exciting presentation by James Shaw, Quality Assurance Architect at Weyerhaeuser Company. James will address the following topics:
James has an extensive background in QA. At Weyerhaeuser, one of his current projects is the development of a corporate-wide common operating system environment (COE). Before joining Weyerhaeuser, James worked for Rational Software, developing best practices for testing procedures. He also wrote the testing curriculum for Bellevue Community College and is a co-founder of SASQAG (Seattle Area Software Quality Assurance Group), a non-profit sponsored by WSA (Washington Software Alliance). Why should you attend?
