FORMS FOR MEASURING CAPACITY

Use these as models to design your own measurement instruments

Form One: Estimates of Strength:

Here you estimate the strength of each element. (Another handout describes each of these sixteen variables). In each cell, put three numbers from 1 to 10 indicating the strength (a) now, (b) a year ago, and (c) five years ago.

Whatever your subjective unit of measure, be sure it is consistent between that for now, for a year ago and for five years ago. When the facilitator calls for the numbers, add yours to those of the other participants to help create a group average estimate for the session.

Form Two: Factors Contributing to Strength:

This is an optional form. Here you note the factors in your reasoning to make an estimate of strength for each of the elements, for now, a year ago and five years ago.

Please keep your notes brief. Indicate what factors contributed to your estimate of your estimated strength at that time. Print your answers to make them more readable when combining them with all the other participants' notes.
