Salmon and Steelhead Driftboat Fishing
Let our expert and courteous guides drift you to secret isolated fishing holes. Your chances for hooking that monster steelhead or salmon are increased when fishing from our dorys. You will cover more territory, your lure or fly will be presented to the fish in a natural fashion, and you will gain access to otherwise inaccessable fish holding pools. In addition to the thrilling hunt for fish, the river and canyon experienced from a dory drift will make your trip an unforgettable memory.
EQUIPMENT:
We provide the guide, the drift boat dory (2 clients per boat), shuttles, and tackle for spin, plug, bait or fly fishing. If you prefer, you can also bring your own tackle. Our comfortable deluxe drift boats have space heaters and rain flys.
TRIP LENGTH:
An average full day excursion covers 6-10 miles of river and the guides decide on which run to drift based on river conditions when you arrive.
SEASON:
Steelhead fishing here is best from September through April. Salmon fishing is best September through October.
KEEPING YOUR CATCH:
We encourage all of our guests to catch their limit, but limit their kill. You can contribute to the success of our fishery by adopting a "catch and release" policy, keeping only those fish damaged beyond a reasonable chance of recovery. The final decision is yours.
RATES:
Klamath River 1 day Drift - $245/double or $175/single
