Home Clean 2000

Home Clean is the City's once-a-year program offering free disposal of a truckload of garbage to the dump. Throughout the city, at various dates, the City provides a drop site or a pass to the transfer station for every household.

Our neighborhood will have two drop sites, which are tentatively scheduled for July 8th. Each site will be staffed by volunteers and workers from The Conservation Corps. The sites provide for recycling of metal appliances, disposal of wood waste and garbage, and a Community Exchange for free distribution of usable items.

Assistance will be available for low-income and elderly people who need help transporting items to the drop site. For more information call Home Clean at (206) 684-0190 or SPCC board member Paul Pemberton at 325-5663.
