This is a listing of folk dance classes and dances in the Pacific Northwest, and a smattering of other places, for NFDI member clubs. Information does change. While we attempt to keep this page up–to–date, please call the contact person in advance to be sure the information is correct. Barneleikarringen of Greater Seattle. Scandinavian dancing for children and families (Sep-Jun). We meet two Sunday afternoons a month during the school year, 1:30–2:30, followed by social time until 2:45. Most practices at the Nordic Heritage Museum, 3014 NW 67th St., Seattle, WA 98117. Vancouver International Folk Dancers meet Monday nights at Shaughnessy Heights United Church at 1550 West 33rd Avenue, Vancouver. Dancing is from 7:30–10 p.m., with teaching and requests. Oregon

Norske Runddansere Scandinavian Folkdancers. We dance and teach couple and circle dances and lively mixers from all five Scandinavian countries. Scandinavian dance lessons and open dancing every Monday except holidays. 7–10 p.m. at the Polish Hall, 3832 N Interstate Avenue, Portland, Oregon. Oregon Coast International Dancers meet every Wednesday night from 7 to 8:30 ($4 per session). Enzian Schuhplattler. Performance group, Bavarian folk dances and Schuhplattler. Practices are on Thursdays, 7–9 p.m., at the German House, 613 9th Street, Seattle, WA. Fourth Corner Folk Dancers, meet every Thursday evening (with one exception in January) from 7:15 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Fairhaven Branch Library, 1117 12th Street, to dance to Balkan, Greek, Turkish, Israeli, and Romany traditional folk music. We have our own folk dance band, which plays part of the time. All ages are welcome; no partner or experience is necessary, as teaching and tutoring are available.
