JAWS is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to monitor sources of airplane noise and advocate for noise reduction. We are based in Southeast Seattle. We came together in late 1999, during the Sea-Tac Part 150 Study, to fight the proposed change in flight path known as the split east turn. After the summer of 2000 we broadened our scope to keep an eye on other activities and airports. We incorporated in February 2001. We operate entirely on volunteer labor and donations. To volunteer or donate, contact kimary@aol.com or write to JAWS at P.O. Box 18272, Seattle, WA 98118-0272. http://www.scn.org/nset/JAWS.html   April 17, 2001   nset@scn.org |
