Meeting dates: First Thursday of every month.
Upcoming meeting dates for 2012. March 1, April 5, May 3, June 7, July 5*, August 2, September 6, October 4, November 1, and December 6.
*Date may change due to fourth of July holiday.

2011 In Review

Readers for Life

There were 250 books donated to Jenene Pringle a teacher at the Elk Ridge Elementary in Enumclaw, Washington .Green River volunteers were Marlynne and Jerry Olson and Shirley Hruby.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg Hunt was held at the Tukwila Community Center. There were 28 volunteers including five from Walgreens and 12 Washington State Puppy raiser's from various Puppy raiser clubs. Green River participants included the following: Kathleen Steele, Doris and Gerry Pittman, Jerry and Marlynne Olson, Bob Eldridge, Marvel Mullikin, Ken and Eloise Chinn, Mike and Millie Howze.

More Activities

There were 31 new or used DVDs collected and delivered to the Washington State Soldiers Home in Orting. Maxine Ruge and Mike Howze

The Centennial Pioneer project was at the Washington Park Arboretum, Seattle. The project was maintaining the Ivy sector. Katleen Steele, Jerry and Marlynne Olson, Mike Howze.

The AT&T/Qwest Head Start Reading Kits. Nelson Elementary in Graham, Washington received 100 packets for their Head Start Program. Mike Howze

Pioneer "Dish-it Up". Feeding families healthy foods. Chairman's Jerry and Marlynne Olson. Kathleen Steele.

More Kudos for Green River members

I am extremely proud to be in the presence of such generous members when it comes to make donations to other Green River Combined Club projects.The project that the members support on a yearly basis are school supplies for the Tree House program and the toys for young boys and girls that the club donates to the Kent Fire Department. Thank you so much.
